Sunny skies and crisp winter air welcomed our crew of 18 hikers on Saturday morning as we hiked Sol Fest 2020. We started at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, hiked almost 5 miles along the beautiful River’s Edge Trail, and finished at the Children’s Museum of Montana. Along the trail we were joined by a group of students from Montana School for the Deaf and the Blind.
At the children’s museum we celebrated our hike with pizza and had the opportunity to meet online with the founders of CorpsTHAT. All together we had over 30 participants!
It was a fantastic day and a wonderful opportunity to support community, inclusion, and Deaf leadership!
And are we done??!….NOPE!…. We still want to meet our goal of raising $1000 for CorpsTHAT. Can you help us?? A donation of $2 per mile for a total of $10 will make a huge difference to support CorpTHAT’s mission!
There are THREE ways you can donate:
- Donate directly at CorpsTHAT.org: Go to https://corpsthat.org/donate/ (Enter Conservatory ASL Northwest in the optional Company Name field to have your donation count toward our hike-a-thon pledge)
- Write a check and mail to:
1625 Covington St
Baltimore, Md 21230
(Mention C.A.N.for your donation to help us meet our goal.)
- Donate through CAN’s Sol Fest 2020 Facebook fundraiser at https://www.facebook.com/donate/865187950916005/
Please share this awareness and this fundraiser with your friends, family, and co-workers. We have until January 21 to meet our fundraising goal.
Raising awareness for the value of Deaf inclusion in our community and outdoor opportunities will make a world of difference for us! It just takes a few seconds to clink on a link and invite friends to look. If you can’t participate in any other way, please DO THIS.
Congratulations to all our hikers!!! You did a great job! Thank you to all donors!!! And a huge shout out to the non-profits in our community who are making Great Falls great!! Thank you to Children’s Museum of Montana, Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, and River’s Edge Trail for supporting our hike and for working to create inclusion in our community!
be YOU! give YOU!
Together we CAN!!
