Montana Family ASL

Lack of access to deaf role models and ASL resources is a pervasive problem for early intervention services in Montana. Many deaf children live in rural communities where they are the only deaf person for hundreds of miles.

C.A.N. is teaming up with Cecily Whitworth to support families with deaf children through the “Montana Family ASL” program.

Families who sign-up will get a box of materials and instructions for activities they can use to practice ASL at home. They will also have access to weekly Zoom workshops where Cecily will use the materials and activities to empower parents and children with instruction in American Sign Language.
